Colorado State head coach Mike Bobo, left, and Colorado State Rams linebacker Evan Colorito #43 celebrate on the field after defeating the San Jose Spartans 42-14 at Sonny Lubick Field at Colorado State Stadium Nov. 18, 2017.

Colorado State’s bowl fate will be finalized Sunday during ESPN’s selection show, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the expectation the Rams’ pick will arrive later in the broadcast.

Boise State, a 17-14 winner over Fresno State on Saturday night in the Mountain West championship game, is destined for a berth in the Las Vegas Bowl against a Pac-12 opponent.

So where does that leave the Rams? Here are three viable options that appear likely landing spots.

Gildan New Mexico Bowl (2:30 p.m., Dec. 16): CSU has good memories in Albuquerque as the site of its last two bowl victories — 2013: CSU 48, Washington State 45; 2008: CSU 40, Fresno State 35.

Hawaii Bowl (6:30 p.m., Dec. 24): It would be the second trip to Honolulu this season for CSU, but Christmas Eve on the beach would make for a fun atmosphere.

DXL Frisco Bowl (6 p.m., Dec. 20): If I’m a CSU fan, this is the optimal choice for the Rams. Beyond availability for cheap airline tickets from Denver to Dallas, it’s the inaugural matchup against an American Athletic program. Plenty to get excited about.
